1) Place the Rough-In so that the baseline and the center line of the closet ange line up. Mark the screw
locations for the Rough-In. Drill holes at the marked locations per the installation type below. In the case of
tile or concrete oor installation, use the provided plastic anchors.
With the location properly marked, drill holes.
2) Clean any debris out of the closet ange, then install the mounting bolts into the slot of the ange
head down with the threaded shank of the bolt pointed upward as shown (ill. 1). Slide each bolt until
the end of slot.
3) Turn the Rough-In upside down. Firmly press a new wax seal onto the circular recess around the outlet
opening. Turn the Rough-In upright and lower it onto the position over the closet ange. With the unit
properly aligned, press down rmly to set the wax seal.
CAUTION: Do not move the Rough-In afterwax seal is set.
4) Install a washer and nut on the T-bolt to secure the Rough-In to the ange (see ill. 2). Nut should be
tightened 1/2 turn after hand-tightening. For the Rough-In, secure the back side to the oor using the
provided screws until level. DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE.
To prevent water and odor leakage, please ensure that the wax seal is tted properly between
the Socket or Rough-In and the ange. Do not overtighten the nuts, as damage to the plastic

parts may result.
5) To install the mounting block, follow the instructions below:
With the Rough-In installed, slide the toilet bowl in the Rough-In by aligning the toilet bowl horn with
the Rough-In inlet. (see Ill.4) Make sure the toilet bowl is aligned properly before marking the center
line of the installation hole on both sides of the bowl and center front bowl. (see ill. 5). Remove the
bowl and set aside, mark the location of the mounting block following the measurement found in
"Before Installation". Install the mounting block using the screws and washers provided. (see ill. 6).
6) Install the toilet unit by aligning carefully with the Rough-In. Slide the toilet unit
into the rough-in until the back of the unit is against the wall (See ill.7)
7) Before installing the side screws to the mounting blocks to secure the bowl
unit, install the top unit according to the top unit instructions provided. Once
top unit installation is complete, make sure the power cord and water supply
hose is accessible for connection. Have the power cord and supply hose on the
side for easy reach.
