Assembly

ASSEMBLY
CAUTION!
The machine must not be put in opera-
tion before it has been assembled com-
pletely.
Installing the bike handle
see Fig. 2
1
Unscrew the star screw from the handle sup-
port.
2
Remove both half shells from the handle sup-
port.
3
Insert the bike handle into the half shells.
4
Place the bike handle and half shells on the
handle support.
5
Tighten the start screw.
Installing the safety cover
see Fig. 3
1
Place the brushcutter so that the work shaft
is pointing down.
2
Lift the stem tube and slide the guard (1)
along the bottom of the stem tube to the cor-
rect position (to the stop on the bevel gear).
3
Put down the stem tube with the guard.
4
First tighten the fixing part (2) using a screw
5 x 20 mm in hole (a) on the guard.
5
Then loosely tighten the second screw 5 x 20
mm in hole (b).
The fixing part (2) has a ridge inside for
hole (a). Therefore, the first screw can
immediately be tightened to the block
through hole (a) without the connection
being slanted
see Fig. 4 and 3
1
Now place the brushcutter so that the work
shaft is pointing up.
2
Tighten the guard and the fixing part using the
2 screws 5 x 35 through the holes on the re-
taining plate of the bevel gear. You may have
to correct the position of the guard because
the holes must align exactly on top of each
other.
3
Finally tighten the screw in hole (b).

Installing the cutting blade
see Fig. 5
1
Place the brushcutter so that the work shaft
is pointing up.
2
Place the cutting tool on the pressure fitting
(1).
The recess of the pressure fitting must fit
perfectly in the hole of the cutting blade
in order to centre the cutting blade.
3
Mount the pressure disk (2).
4
Place the rider plate (3) and turn the locking
nut (4) on the shaft.
Attention - left-hand thread - turn anti-
clockwise!
Make sure that all parts are centred!
5
Block the shaft with the support pin (5) and
tighten the nut
CAUTION!
If the locking nut (4) will not tighten pro-
perly due to frequent loosening and tigh-
tening, then it must be replaced imme-
diately!
Check the tightness and centred position of
the cutting blade.
Mounting the line head
(Figure 7)
1. Remove the split pin and flange.
2. Insert the Allen key into the hole in the driver
plate, and screw the line head anticlockwise
onto the guide pin of the drive shaft.
3. Lock the driver plate with the Allen key in or-
der to tighten the line head.
Adjusting the shoulder strap
see Figure 10
1. First pass the shoulder strap over your left
shoulder.
2. Hook the locking hook into the eye.
3. Perform some sweeping movements to check
the length of the shoulder strap without
turning on the motor.
The line cutting head or cutting blade
must move parallel to the ground.
