Before commencing, lay a warm compress on
your breasts for a few minutes (e.g. the NUK
Breast Compress) to help relax the breast
tissue.

Maintain eye-to-eye contact with your baby. If
this is not possible, then look at a photo of
your baby.
6. Assembling the Pump
1. Connect pump unit 1 to suction part 19.
2. Place nipple ring 18 into the suction part.
3. Place sealing ring 7 inside the thread of the suc-
tion part.
4. NUK Standard Bottle:
Screw NUK Standard Bottle 17 onto the
suction part.
For Battery operation 2 Type AA, 1.5 V batter-
ies are required.
1. Remove the red cover from Battery Compart-
ment 2 and insert the batteries, ensuring that
they are positioned correctly according to the
symbols in the compartment! (Diagram
2. Then replace the red cover, ensuring that it
clicks into place. The device must not operate
without the battery cover being in place.
Rechargeable batteries may limit the power of
the pump.

The milk-producing reflex releases the flow of
milk to both breasts simultaneously. Any sur-
plus milk leaking from the breast not currently
being pumped can be collected using the NUK
Breast Shell.
NUK First Choice Bottle /
NUK Breast Milk Container:
Firstly, screw connecting element 8 onto the
suction part and then the NUK First Choice
Bottle / NUK Breast Milk Container 9 to the
connecting element. Ensure that the NUK
bottle / container is screwed tightly to the con-
necting element. The electric breast pump will
only function if a vacuum is able to build up.
7. Power Supply
For mains operation use only the enclosed
adapter, Model AD-35-0350, or for the UK, Ireland
and Cyprus: Model AD-35-0350BS.

The voltage specification on the device must be
the same as the mains voltage. In the event of
damage to the adapter a new one can be
obtained from Mapa GmbH or from one of our
distributors abroad.
