WARNING: Carry out the installation in a "workmanlike" manner, strictly following the installation instructions and using
suitable tools. Always consult your local building department for code requirements that must be respected depending
on its destination of use (private, secondary, public...).
Unpack each element before starting to assemble the staircase. Position them on an ample surface and check the
quality of the elements (TAB. 1: A = Code, B = Quality).
We recommend watching the DVD provided before undertaking assembly.
For the US market: please phone the customer care number 1-888-STAIRKT in case of need.
Preliminary assembly
1. Assemble elements C72 on the treads (L03) and determine the position of the openings (drill the treads using a
Ø 4,5 mm point) with the template provided, using articles C57 and B02 (fig. 2).
2. Carefully measure the height from floor to floor to determine the number of plastic spacers (D45) required and
prepare above its spacer (D47) (TAB. 2).
3. Assemble elements F35, F36, C79, D39, D40, C76, C77 and C74 to balusters C67, elements F35, F36, C79,
D39, D40, C76 and C77 to balusters C68, and elements D39, D40, C76 and C77 to column C73 (fig. 3) (fig. 1).
4. Secure F35 in a permanent manner working on the inner screw.
5. Assemble the base G03, B17 and B46 (fig. 1).
Assembly
6. Determine the centre of the opening on the floor and position the base (G03+B17+B46) (fig. 4).
7. Drill using a Ø 14 mm point and secure the base (G03+B17+B46) to the floor with elements B13 (fig. 1).
8. Tighten the tube (G02) on the base (G03+B17+B46) (fig. 1).
9. Insert the base cover (D46) in the tube (G02) (fig. 5).
10. Insert the following in order: plastic spacers (D45), the spacer (D47), plastic spacers (D45) the first tread (L03),
plastic spacers (D45), the spacer (D47), plastic spacers (D45) and then again a tread (L03) and so on. Position
the treads, alternating between right and left, so that the weight is evenly distributed (fig. 5).
11. Once you have reached the end of the tube (G02), tighten element B47, tighten the following tube (G02) and
continue to assemble the staircase (fig. 5).
12. Once you have reached the end of the tube (G02), tighten element B46 and element G01 (tighten element G01
taking into account the fact that it must be 15 cm taller than the height of the staircase) (fig. 6). Continue to
work on the treads using element D01 inserted into the tread (L03).
13. Insert the landing last (E02). After choosing the sense of rotation (fig. 7), position the landing (see point 13) on
the tread arrival side (L03) (fig. 8). Cut the landing (E02), if necessary, taking into account the size of the floor
opening (fig. 4). Determine the position of the openings with the template provided, drill the landing using
a Ø 4,5 mm point and assemble elements C72 with articles B02 and C57.
14. Insert elements B05, B04 and secure element C70 sufficiently, considering that the treads must still rotate
(fig. 1).
Fixing the landing
15. Move element F12 next to the floor. Determine the position, maintaining a distance of approximately 15 cm from
the outer edge of the floor (E02), drill using a Ø 14 mm point and secure permanently using elements B13
(fig. 1).
16. Secure elements F12 to the landing (E02) using elements C58 (drill the landing (E02) with a Ø 5 mm point).
17. Position elements B95.
Assembling the railing
18. Fan the treads out (L03). You can now climb the stairs.
19. Starting from the landing (E02) insert the longer balusters (C67) connecting the treads (L03). Align the balusters
(C67) with element F36 with the opening towards the top (fig. 8). Only tighten element B02 from the lower tread
(fig. 2).
20. Check the verticality of all of the balusters (C67) positioned. Take care during this operation, since it is very
important to assembling the stairs correctly.
21. Tighten element C70 permanently (fig. 8).
22. Tighten tread element B02 permanently, starting from the one at the top (fig. 2).
23. Check the verticality of the balusters (C67) again and correct by repeating the operations described above, if
