necessary.
24. Position the first baluster (C67). Adjust the height of a long baluster (C67) cutting the end to the same height as
those already assembled (fig. 1).
25. Secure element F34 in a position corresponding to the first baluster (C67) drilling a hole with a Ø 8 mm point.
Use elements C58, B12, B83 and B02 (fig. 1).
26. Identify the segments of the handrail not marked in red (A13) and the one marked in red (A14), which will be
used on the landing (E02) (fig. 9).
27. Start modelling the handrails (A13), do not mark them in red and try to give them a curve which follows the
staircase as much as possible (fig. 1).
28. Start from the baluster (C67) on the landing (E02) and begin by securing the handrail (A13), bent slightly. Use
elements C64 with the screwer. Warning: position the seam of the coating on the handrail toward the bottom.
29. Join to the other segments of the handrail (A13) tightening, gluing and shaping them one after the other. Use
elements B33, X01 and D72.
30. Saw off the excess handrail next to the first (C67) baluster the staircase using a hacksaw.
31. Complete the handrail (A13) by securing element A12 using elements C64 and the glue (X01) (fig. 1).
32. Insert the steel cables F30 (fig. 13) into articles D39 found on the balusters. Secure the cables on one of the
two ends with articles D40 and C76, leaving an extra 15 mm of cable protruding from article D39. Tighten the
cables by hand and secure using articles D40 and C76. Cut the cables at a distance of 15 mm from article
D39. Insert articles D38 to protect the cables and secure with articles C76. Warning: when cutting the cables,
we recommend wrapping the part in question with adhesive tape in order to avoid fraying, use a suitable shearer
(fig. 1).
33. Check the linearity of the handrail (A13) and correct using a rubber hammer, if necessary.
Assembling the balustrade
34. Assemble the column (C73) on element G01 protruding from the landing (E02), positioning articles D39 towards
the outside, using elements D49 (fig. 8) (fig. 1).
35. Position elements F34, using elements C58, B83, B02 on the landing (E02). Drill the landing (E02) using a
Ø 5 mm point, maintaining the same centre to centre distance between the holes as the one used between the
balusters (C67) of the railings assembled before.
36. Position the shorter balusters (C68) and tighten the elements B02 of the articles F34 (fig. 1).
37. Fasten element A15 to the column (C73) using element B02 (fig. 1).
38. Secure the handrail marked in red using elements C64 and the glue (X01). Saw off any handrail in excess using
a hacksaw. Complete the handrail (A14) by securing element A12 using elements C64 and the glue (X01)
(fig. 1).
(fig. 1).
40. Based on the position and the existence of walls around the opening of the staircase, one or two (C03) extra
balusters may need to be positioned (fig. 10).
41. In this case, consider a space equidistant from the other balusters or from the wall. To secure these, we
recommend drilling the landing (E02) with a Ø 5 mm point and using elements F34, C58, B83, B02. We also
recommend drilling the floor with a Ø 14 mm point and using elements F34, B02, B13 (fig. 11). If necessary,
secure the balustrade on the landing to the balustrade on the floor, (fig. 10), model the handrails carefully,
following well secured curves. Any wrinkles that form on the inside of the handrails are not a defect, rub
energetically (generating heat) with a paper tower or using a blow dryer at 5-6 cm distance until they disappear.
Final Assembly
42. To further stiffen the staircase at intermediate points, secure elements F09 to the wall and join using elements
F33, with the balusters (C68). Drill using a Ø 8 mm point and use elements C50, C49, C58, B12 (fig. 12).
