Mains connection

Only connect the unit to a power point (230 V ~ 50 Hz) that is easy to reach and is close to
the place where you have set the unit up. The power socket must be freely accessible so
that you can unplug the appliance quickly, if necessary.
Do not connect the device immediately to the power supply if the unit has been moved
from a cold to a warm room. Any condensation which forms could damage the unit. The
device can be operated as soon as the unit has reached room temperature.
Ensure the mains cable is out of harms way and will not trip people up. There should be
no kinks or folds in the power cable.

If damage occurs

Do not use the device if the mains plug or device itself has been dropped or there is visible
damage.
If the player or mains cable is damaged, unplug the player from the mains immediately.
Never try to open and/or repair the appliance yourself. You may get an electric shock! Do
not interfere with the unit's power cable.
If there is a fault contact our Service Centre or other suitable specialist workshop.

In the event of functional damage

If the unit is malfunctioning there might have been a electrical discharge. If this is the case
unplug the unit from the power source and remove the batteries. Insert the batteries again
and re-attach the unit to the power source . This will reset the unit.

The CD player

The CD player is a class 1 laser product. The device has a safety system that
prevents dangerous laser rays escaping from the device during normal use.
In order to avoid eye injuries, never manipulate or damage the device's
security system.
