The fact that the towing bracket has been mounted to the vehicle must be entered in the
vehicle papers at the next possible opportunity. The mounting instructions must be added to
the vehicle papers.
General Installation Intructions:
If present, remove insulating compound and/or underseal in the area of the towing bracket
contact surfaces. Coat bare bodywork with anti-corrosion paint.
Mount 7-pin electrical system as per DINV 72570.
Mount 13-pin electrical system as per ISO 11446.
Retighten all mounting bolts of the towing bracket after aprox. 1000 towing km. Please note,
that after mounting the drawbar the mass of your vehicle will change.
Mounting instructions:
Remove the bumper and the exhaust manifold, together with the support of the exhaust
–
manifold.
Fix the accessory plates (2,3) loosely to the chassis limb at points „a" by means of the
–
enclosed fixing elements according to the guidance of the drawing.
Fix the body of the drawhook (1) loosely to the rear panel at points „b" by means of the
–
enclosed fixing elements according to the guidance of the drawing.
Fix the accessory plates (2,3) loosely at points „c".

Mount coupler ball onto the draw bar.
–
Set the drawhook to middle position and finalise the tightening of the bolts.

Make cutting on the bumper according to the enclosed punching template.

By means of opening the rear cable bundle, complete the electrical connections according
–
to the regulations.
Reinstall the bumper and the exhaust manifold.

Only specialised services are authorised to install drawhooks.
