Do not throw away the appliances with the normal household waste at the
end of their life, but hand them in at an official collection point for recycling. By
doing this, you help to preserve the environment. (Fig. 23)
Epilator
-
The built-in rechargeable battery contains substances that may pollute the
environment. Always remove the battery before you discard and hand in the
appliance at an official collection point. Dispose of the battery at an official
collection point for batteries. If you have trouble removing the battery, you can
also take the appliance to a Philips service centre. The staff of this centre will
remove the battery for you and will dispose of them in an environmentally
safe way (Fig. 24).

Disconnect the appliance from the adapter. Let the appliance operate until
the battery is completely empty.

Remove the epilating head and open the appliance with a screwdriver. (Fig. 25)

Insert the screwdriver into the small slot in the printed circuit board (1).
Twist the screwdriver until the connection between the printed circuit
board and the battery breaks (2) (Fig. 26).

Pry the rechargeable battery out of the appliance with the screwdriver (Fig. 27).
Caution: Be careful, the battery strips are sharp.
Do not attempt to replace the rechargeable battery.
Do not connect the appliance to the mains again after you have removed the
rechargeable battery.
Precision epilator

Non-rechargeable batteries contain substances that may pollute the
environment. Do not throw away non-rechargeable batteries with the normal
household waste, but dispose of them at an official collection point for
batteries. Always remove the non-rechargeable batteries before you discard
and hand in the appliance at an official collection point (Fig. 23).
