This drive cannot operate with only the bus power of the USB cable. Be sure to
provide power by connecting the provided ac adapter.
5 Power/Busy indicator
The green LED indicates the power status and the operation states of the drive.
When the drive is connected to ac power
and the USB port of your PC
During data write
During data read
When the drive is not connected to the
USB port
6 Write indicator
The amber light emitting-drive (LED) indicates the write state of the drive.
During data write
Modes other than the above
7 Eject button
Press the eject button to open the top cover.
An electrical locking mechanism is used in this drive so that an erroneous
operation does not open the top cover during write. Make sure that the power
is on and the drive is not in operation before pressing the eject button to open
the top cover.
If the top cover cannot be opened even when the eject button is pressed or if
the top cover needs to be opened when power is not supplied form the ac
adapter, use the emergency eject lever at the bottom of the drive.
8 Line output jack
Connect this jack to the line input signal of your computer (using the included
audio cable) when outputting the audio signal from this drive.
In some operating systems the audio cable is not requred. Audio can be
achieved by the following steps:
1. Double-click My Computer.
