This guide contains installation and usage information for the IBM USB 2.0
Portable CD-RW Drive.
The IBM USB 2.0 Portable CD-RW Drive is a slimline CD-R/RW drive that

attaches quickly and conveniently to your IBM ThinkPad computer through
one simple connection. The drive functions as a USB 1.1 device when
connected to a USB 1.1 port and as a USB 2.0 device when connected to the
USB 2.0 port. A maximum write speed of 4x to 6x is obtained through the USB
1.1 port. A maximum write speed of 8x is obtained through the USB 2.0 port.

Hardware and software requirements

You must have the following hardware installed on your ThinkPad computer
in order to use this option:

v An available USB 1.1 or 2.0 port
Your computer must have one of the following operating systems installed to
use this option:
v Microsoft Windows 98
v Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me)
v Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
