SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION!
Sharp edges!
Risk of abrasion, crushing, cuts. Always wear protective gloves!
Loads may only be pulled if the pawl is locked in position.
Danger from crank handle flying back with rope/strap taut!
Only use ropes whose karabiner hooks are attached with a pressed rope loop.
Do not exceed the loads specified in the technical data.
If using a strap - observe the required breaking load.
Do not allow the rope/strap to knot.
Do not expose straps to acids or alkalis.
Protect straps against moisture and permanent exposure to sunlight by means of a cover.

ASSEMBLY

Installing the crank handle
1. Pull back the locking sleeve (Fig. 1-1).
2. Push on the crank handle.
The crank handle automatically clicks into place.
CAUTION!
Only use ropes whose karabiner hooks are attached with a pressed rope loop.
ADVICE
When under load, the rope must be wound at least two turns onto the drum. Mark the rope run-
out with colouring.
Installing the rope
1. Feed the steel rope through the long hole of the drum from the inside (Fig. 2-1).
2. Insert the end of the rope into the clamp in a large loop and gently tighten hexagon nut (Fig. 3).
3. Pull the loop back up to the clamp and tighten the hexagon nut with a tightening torque of max. 10 Nm.
4. Wind the rope in two full turns.
