Meter swap:
1
Rinse the pipelines thoroughly.
2
Close the shut-off device before the connector.
3
Take precautions to ensure no devices connect-
ed to the pipeline are damaged (e.g. disconnect
boilers, remove fuses).
4
Empty the conduits.
5
Disassemble the rosette and protective sleeves.
6
Break and disassemble the seal ring by turning
the screwdriver blade sideways.
7
Grease the connector's sealing surfaces and the
screw thread lightly with tap grease.
!
The sealant O-ring is already pre-assembled.
8
Determine direction of flow on the connector
and measuring capsule. Insert the inlet segment
into the connector's inlet side.
!
The inlet segment can be inserted in the out-
lets side, however this is not approved!
The inlet segment must be replaced each time
a meter is replaced!
9
Screw the measuring capsule into the connector
in the direction of flow and tighten it sturdily
using assembly spanner (art no. 160001) with
a handle until the metal bearing surfaces have
contact.
10
Open the shut-off device slowly and bleed the
conduit via the tap connection.
11
Switch on the boiler or the fuses again.
12
Implement a function check, check forward run
on the meter counter.
13
Close tap connections and check the leak tight-
ness of the measuring capsule.
14
Push the seal ring over the meter using the
assembly spanner until it engages and stick the
Techem adhesive seal over the gap between the
measuring capsule and the connector.
15
Assemble the rosette and protective sleeves.
!
When retooling competitors' meters, observe
the "competitors' protective sleeves / ro-
settes" instructions.
Hood segment and radio module
The hood segment of the measuring capsules or
the radio module are engaged in the meter housing
and are protected with the enclosed seal ring after
assembly.
!
The radio upgrade of vario measuring capsules
is described in a separate document.
