4) Air tool use and care
a) Use clamps or other practical way to
secure and support the workpiece on a
stable platform. Holding the work by
hand or against your body is unstable and
may lead to loss of control.
b) Do not force a air tool. Use the correct
air tool for your application. The correct
air tool will do the job better and safer at
the rate for which it is designed.
c) Do not use a air tool if switch does not
turn it on or off. Any air tool that cannot
be controlled with the switch is danger-
ous and must be repaired.
d) Disconnect the air hose from the air
source before making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing the air
tool. Such preventive safety measures
reduce the risk of starting the air tool
accidentally.
e) Store idle air tools out of the reach of
children and do not allow persons unfa-
miliar with the air tool or these instruc-
tions to operate the air tool. Air tools are
dangerous in the hands of untrained
users.
f) Maintain air tools. Check for misalign-
ment or binding of moving parts, break-
age of parts, and any other condition
that may affect the operation of the air
tool. If damaged, have the air tool re-
paired before use. Many accidents are
caused by poorly maintained air tools.
g) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Prop-
erly maintained tools with sharp cutting
edges are less likely to bind and are easier
to control.
h) Use the air tool, accessories, and tool
bits, etc., in accordance with these
instructions and in the manner intended
for the particular type of air tool, taking
into account the working conditions and
the work to be performed. Use of the air
tool for operations different from those
intended could result in a hazardous
situation.

5) Service
a) Have your air tool serviced by a qualified
repair person using only identical re-
placement parts. This will ensure that the
safety of the air tool is maintained.
Safety Warnings for Random Orbit
Sanders
Avoid contact with a live wire.
DANGER
The air tool is not insulated and
contact with a live wire may result in electric
shock.
Pay attention that no persons are put at risk
through sparking. Remove any combustible
materials in the vicinity. Sparking occurs
when sanding metal materials.
Caution, fire hazard! Avoid overheating the
object being sanded as well as the sander.
Always empty the dust collector before tak-
ing breaks. In unfavorable conditions, e.g.,
when sparks emit from sanding metals, sand-
ing debris in the dust bag, micro filter or pa-
per sack (or in the filter sack or filter of the
vacuum cleaner) can self-ignite. Particularly
when mixed with remainders of varnish, poly-
urethane or other chemical materials and
when the sanding debris is hot after long pe-
riods of working.
Do not touch the moving sanding sheet. You
could cut yourself.
Only use grinding and polishing tools that
are specifically intended and recommended
for this air tool. Do not use grinding acces-
sories and cut-off discs. Just because the
accessory can be attached to your air tool, it
does not assure safe operation.
The rated speed of the accessory must be at
least equal to the maximum speed marked
on the air tool. Accessories running faster
than their rated speed can burst and fly
apart.
Wear eye protection or safety glasses and
hearing protection. Where appropriate,
wear a dust mask and protective gloves.
Wearing personal protective equipment re-
duces the risk of injuries.
