Before you switch ON the appliance

Please read the operating and installation instructions
carefully. They contain important information on how to
install, use and maintain the appliance.
The manufacturer is not liable if you fail to comply with
the instructions and warnings. Retain all documents for
subsequent use or for the next owner.

Technical safety

d WARNING
The appliance contains a small quantity of environmen
tally friendly but flammable refrigerant R600a. Ensure that
the tubing of the refrigerant circuit is not damaged during
transportation and installation. Leaking refrigerant may
cause eye injuries or ignite.
If damage has occurred
H Keep naked flames and ignition sources away
from the appliance,
H ventilate the room thoroughly for several minutes,
H switch off the appliance and pull out the power cord
plug,
H inform customer service.
The more refrigerant there is in an appliance, the bigger
the room must be in which the appliance is located.
If rooms are too small, a leak may result in a flammable
gas air mixture. The room must be at least 1 m# per 8 g
of refrigerant. The amount of refrigerant in your appliance
is indicated on the rating plate inside the appliance.

Flammable refrigerant used. Risk of fire or

This product should be repaired only by trained service

personnel. Consult repair manual/owner's guide before
attempting to service this product. All safety precautions
must be followed. Do not puncture refrigerant tubing.
Follow handling instructions carefully. Dispose of properly
in accordance with the applicable federal or local regula

tions.
If the power cord of this appliance is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service or
a similarly qualified person. Improper installations and
repairs may put the user at considerable risk. Repairs
may be performed by the manufacturer, customer service
or a similarly qualified person only.
Only original parts supplied by the manufacturer may be
used. The manufacturer guarantees that only these parts
satisfy the safety requirements.
The appliance comes with a UL registered 3 wire power
cord. Never sever or remove the third (earth) conductor
from the power cord. The appliance requires a 3 pole
socket. The socket may be connected by an electrician
only. Where there is a 2 pole standard wall socket, it is
the personal responsibility and duty of the customer to
have this socket replaced with a correctly grounded
3 pole wall socket. Do not use any adapter plugs or
extension cords.
Important information when using the
appliance

Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage
compartments of the appliance, unless they are of the
type recommended by the manufacturer.
H Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner!
The steam may penetrate electrical parts and cause
a short circuit. Risk of electric shock!
H Do not store products which contain flammable
propellants (e.g. spray cans) or explosive substances
in the appliance. Explosion hazard!
H Do not stand on or lean heavily against base of
appliance, drawers or doors, etc.
H Before cleaning the appliance, pull out the power
cord plug or switch off the fuse. Do not pull out the
power cord plug by tugging on the power cord.
H Store high percentage alcohol tightly closed and
standing up.
H Keep plastic parts and door seal free of oil and grease.
Otherwise, parts and door seal will become porous.
