File read time
• When accessing multiple files at the same time, disc
swapping may occur frequently. This will reduce the
data transfer rate and increase the total time of operation
significantly.
• When accessing a single file, disc swapping may also
occur, depending on the recording position in the
cartridge. This will take time before starting to read the
file.
File write time
• When writing a large number of small-sized files (e.g.,
100 MB or smaller) consecutively, writing may take
some time to complete. In such cases, setting the
operation mode to "Synchronize management data to the
media immediately after completion of file writing: Off"
increases the write performance and media efficiency.
However, if a malfunction (e.g., power supply failure)
occurs during a write operation, the possibility of file
recovery is lowered.
