9. This machine must not be used if it is faulty. If foam or
liquid comes out of the machine for wet, switch off the
machine immediately by disconnecting the main switch
installed prior to the machine or remove the plug from the
current socket. Never use the on/off switch on the
machine.
10. Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the
plug, not the cord.
11. When repairing or replacing the cord, the same type of
cord as originally supplied with the machine must be
used. This cord can be supplied by NILFISK.
12. The plug must always be removed from the socket outlet
before starting any service work of the machine or the
cord.
13. Repair of the electrical parts e.g. motor or the cord must
only be carried out by a skilled or instructed person after
having disconnected the main switch installed prior to the
machine or after having removed the plug from the
current socket.
14 No changes or modifications to the mechanical or
electrical safety devices should be made.
Instructions for use
Before using the machine make sure that the frequency and
voltage shown on the rating plate correspond with the mains
voltage.
Specifications and details are subject to change without prior
notice.
Unpacking
When the machine and accessory is delivered, carefully
inspect the shipping cartons and the machine/accessory for
damage. If damage is evident, save the shipping carton so
that it can be inspected by the carrier that delivered it. Contact

Mount handle (8) to the chassis (7) with the two carriage bolts,
washers and wing nuts.
To get access to the accessories, tilt-up the motor head (2)
and hook it to the handle (8) with bracket (10) (See figure A).
Position the waste container (6) against the recess (20) on the
chassis (See figure C) before tilting back the motor head.
Install the accessory.
Hoses Ø 38 mm
Insert the hose bayonet coupling in the suction inlet (4) on the
motor-head (2) and lock it in place by turning it clockwise.
Steel tubes Ø 38 mm
Assemble steel tubes with steel tubes and steel tubes with
nozzles by pressing and twisting.
Operating
When the accessory is mounted, place the machine near the
place of use.
On/off to start and stop the motor
Make sure that the on/off switch (1) is in the OFF position.
Plug the cord (3) into the wall socket.
To start the motor turn the on/off switch (1) to ON.
To stop the motor turn the on/off switch (1) to OFF.
Never start the machine if it is faulty or if foam or liquid comes
out of the machine.
To pick up water
1
If the machine has been used for dry pick-up, remove the
dry pick-up filter (A) and re-install the float (B) (See figure B).
2
Add a defoamer chemical when picking up soapy water.
To add defoamer, first turn the on/off switch (1) to OFF.
Tilt-up the motor head (2), pour the defoamer chemical
into the waste container (6). See the manufacturer's
recommendations for the proper amount. Tilt-back the
motor-head (2), and turn the on/off switch (1) to ON. Add
defoamer each time the tank is emptied.
3
Tilt down the motor head (2). Make sure that the on/off
switch (1) is in the OFF position, then plug the cord (3) into
a wall outlet.
4
Turn the on/off switch (1) to ON.
5
The motor-head (2) has an automatic float shut-off to
block the vacuum system when the tank is full. You can
tell when the float closes by the sudden change in the
sound of the vacuum motor. When the float closes, the
tank must be emptied. The machine will not pick-up water
with the float closed.
NOTE: Never try to open the motor head when the motor is
running.
To pick up dust and dirt
1
If the machine has been used for wet pick-up, tilt-up the
motor head (2) and hook it to the handle (8) with bracket
(10) (See figure A), empty the waste container (6), rinse it
out and dry it completely and install the dry pick-up filter
(See figure B). To install the dry pick-up filter, first pull the
float (B) (Figure B) off of the motor-head (2). The float (B) is
held in place by rubber retainers and can be pulled off
and pushed back on easily. Push the dry pick-up filter (A)
onto the vacuum motor housing as shown in Figure B (the
filter fits snugly over the vacuum motor housing, friction
fit).
NOTE: Do not use the machine for dry pick-up without the
optional dry pick-up filter (A) (Figure B) in place.
