Floor Mat Screw Anchors
Installation Instructions
1. If the retainer is not already together, snap the screw anchor to
the two ring pieces in the floor mat. See Illustration 1.
2. Place the floor mat in the vehicle in the mat's desired location.
For the Suburban or Yukon XL's third row mat and Colorado or
Canyon second row mat, it is recommended that you push the
mats toward the back of the vehicle and hold it there while you
screw the retainers in. This will ensure that the floor mat is flush
against the back wall of the floor area. See Illustration 2.
3. Using a small flat head screw driver, screw the inner post of the
anchor into the carpet of the vehicle. There is a gap in the top of
the retainer screw so when it is fully screwed in the retainer will
continue to rotate. See Illustration 3.
4. To clean the floor mats, simply lift the floor mats and unsnap the
anchor screws one at a time from each ring. To reinstall the mats,
simply snap back into place.
Removing the Screw Anchors from the Floor
1. Remove all floor mats by unsnapping the screw anchors from
the rings.
2. Use needle nose pliers or equivalent to rotate the anchor while
gently lifting up on the snap stud.
3. Do not attempt to pull or tear the screw anchors out since this
could cause damage to the carpeting.
4. Remove any marks left by the screw anchors by brushing over
the areas with a vacuum brush attachment.
