GENERAL FEATURES

Depending on the layout and type of installation, the functions of the ADS Guard
Unit are as follows:

Operating as Guard Unit for buildings

Its function consists in attending the calls from and to the apartments, and to act as
a "filter" between the calls made from the outdoor panels to the apartments.
All the options available in this device are enabled In this type of configuration. The
use of these options is described from page 20 to 23.
The Guard Unit works exclusively with the following models of telephones and/or
monitors:
CityMax ADS Extra Telephone
CityMax ADS Complet Telephone
CityMax ADS Extra Monitor
CityMax ADS Complet Monitor
To install the Guard Unit it is needed a Connections Module Ref. 2492.

Operating as Intercommunication Central

A special application of this equipment is to work as a Call Reception Central in
the so called Radial ADS Intercommunication System.
In this type of configuration the only functions enabled are the ones that regard
the communication with telephones, and the usage is explained on page 30.
The Intercommunication Central works only with the following models:
CityMax ADS Extra Telephone
CityMax ADS Complet Telephone

In order to avoid robberies or non-wished handling, the ADS Guard Unit incorporates
a canon-plug connector that allows to disconnect it when it is not going to be used
for a period of time (i.e. at nights).
Simply pluging it in, the unit starts to work again.
