3.2 Safety instructions
Please read and comply with the following safety instructions!
Requirements for users
Children and persons with insufficient knowledge or experience in handling the unit,
or who have limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities, may only use the unit
following proper instruction or when supervised.
DANGER
Damage to health caused by electric shock
Contact with electricity can lead to an electric shock.
> Do NOT use the product if it is not working properly or the cables are damaged.
Disconnect the power supply immediately. Contact help@duravit.com.
> Disconnect the mains voltage BEFORE removing the actuator plate.
> Remove the battery module from the actuator plate BEFORE you change the battery.
NOTE
Product and/or property damage caused by improper use
Improper use can cause damage to the product, accidents and malfunctions.
> Do NOT install the actuator plate where there is a danger of frost. The room temper-
ature should not drop below 4 °C.
> Do NOT expose the actuator plate to direct water or sunlight.
> Do NOT use accessories that are not recommended by Duravit.
> Make sure that the glass of the actuator plate is not fogged up or wet.
> Never use abrasive, aggressive or chemical cleaners.
> Do not place any objects with the detection range of the actuator plate.
Product and/or property damage caused by non-professional repair attempts
Non-professional repair attempts can cause damage to the product, accidents and
malfunctions.
> Do not make ANY changes, tamper with, add installations or make repair attempts
to the
actuator plate
> Repairs may only be carried out by qualified electricians or engineers.
Information on the use of batteries
Batteries are located in the remote control and in the actuator plate itself.
