For a smooth operation, we recommend that you do not activate
the steam function immediately after connecting the appliance to
the mains supply, as the temperature will not be high enough to
fully vaporize the water. Drops may form and water, not steam, will
emerge from the appliance. When the appliance is in use, to en-
sure that water drops do not form because of too much steam or
water, the appliance automatically adjusts the steam level when
the steam function is on. If, however, water drops do form during
use, we recommend that you activate the steam function for only
a brief period and then switch it off as soon the steam volume is
substantially lower. After a short time any residual water in the ap-
pliance will have sufficiently heated through and you can switch
the steam function back on. This allows for the optimum use of the
available water in relation to the surface to be cleaned.
