Control
The IR-eye is sensing if the door is open or closed. A thermostat is mounted in
the air intake and heat/no heat is activated with a push button on the control
device on the unit. Alarm is indicated with a red LED .
Adjusting
The IR eye is mounted on the AR300. A piece
of reflector tape is also supplied. The reflector
tape is applied to the door so that LED 1
(1) lights when the door is closed. The door
sensor (6) can be directed up/down to "see"
the tape, see fig.4 on p.4.
Test mode
There is a test mode to check that everything
functions.
1. Press the button (5) and hold it in until all
the LED´s illuminate. This shows that the
test mode is active. The unit is started at
low speed.
2. Press the button briefly (5). The unit
increases to high speed.
3. Press the button once again (5). The unit
is running on high speed and half output
(AR300E) respectively the actuator is
opening the valve (AR300W).
4. Press the button once again. The unit
increases to high speed with full power.
(AR300E).
5. Press the button one last time (5). The test
is complete.
Heat/no heat mode
There is a possibility to choose between heat
mode and no heat mode (heat is blocked)
using button (5). LED 2 (2) is lit when the
heat mode is active.
Function - open door
The thermostat is set to the desired room
temperature using the thermostat knob inside
the unit. The desired high speed is set using
the speed selector.
The fan runs at high speed and the heat at
full power when the temperature is less than
the desired temperature +2 degrees . When
the temperature is above the desired value +2
degrees, the fan runs at high speed and the
heat is switched off.
AR 300 E/W
When the door is closed the unit continues
to run on high speed for 60 s and another 60 s
on low speed and then switched off.
Function - closed door
The thermostat is set to the desired room
temperature using the thermostat knob inside
the unit.
If the temperature falls below the desired
temperature, the fan starts at low speed and
the heat at half power, if the temperature
drops below 2 degrees below the desired
temperature, the fan starts at high speed and
heat at full power.
Alarm
There is a potential free contact (normally
open) for alarm indication
LED 3 is lit when there is an alarm (3).
Alarm is indicated if:
1. The unit is calling for heat but the
difference between outlet temperature and
the room temperature is less than 5 degrees
after 90 s.
2. The heat is switched off but the difference
between the outlet temperature and the
room temperature is more than5 degrees
after 90 s.
3. The internal temperature in the unit is
exceeding 50 °C.
Check the motors and that the air supply is
sufficient (grille not blocked). Stop the alarm
by disconnecting the power supply to the
unit.
