Installation via holes for M4-sized screws in the case or via a mounting system
(accessory).

NOTE
Degree of protection IP 67 is only achieved with screwed-on connector!

Electrical connection – Commissioning with factory settings
 Connect 5VDC voltage supply and, if necessary, switching input and RS 232
interface.
 Start Leuze BCL Config terminal program on terminal/PC.
 Activate the BCL 8 Terminal function in the BCLconfig program.
 Switch on supply voltage; the status LED must illuminate green.
 Activate scanner via switching input or RS 232 command "+". The laser switch-
es itself on.
 Hold the following "LEUZE" sample bar code up to the BCL 8 at a distance of
approx. 70 ... 80mm.
With a successful reading the laser beam is switched off and the result is shown
on the screen.
 Close reading gate by deactivation of the switching input or the RS 232 com-
mand "-".
