18 Troubleshooting Guide

18.1 Pressure Washer

Before troubleshooting, switch off the pressure washer and disconnect the unit from the power supply. Relieve all system

Possible Cause
The power supply cord is not connected
to an electrical outlet.
The GFCI has interrupted the electrical
circuit.

pump, high-pressure hose or spray
attachment.
Remedy
► Connect the power supply cord to a properly
installed electrical outlet.
► Reset the GFCI, @ 10.2.
► Switch off other loads connected to the same
circuit.
► If the pressure washer still does not start,
disconnect the pressure washer from the power
supply and have it inspected by an authorized
STIHL servicing dealer before further use.
► Allow the pressure washer to cool at ambient
temperatures for approximately 5 minutes.
► Clean the nozzle, @ 16.2.
► Pull and hold the spray gun trigger and switch on
the pressure washer.
► Switch off other loads connected to the same
electrical circuit.
► Connect the power supply cord to a properly
installed electrical outlet.
► Reset the GFCI, @ 10.2.
► If the pressure washer still does not start,
disconnect the pressure washer from the power
supply and have it inspected by an authorized
STIHL servicing dealer before further use.
► Allow the pressure washer to cool at ambient
temperatures for approximately 5 minutes.
► Clean the nozzle, @ 16.2.
► Have the pressure washer inspected and
repaired by an authorized STIHL servicing
dealer.
