Press and hold the ON/OFF button (5) to turn the camera on. When you turn the camera
on, the blue Busy LED indicator (9) illuminates and the LCD screen lights up to confirm the
camera is ready for use. Press the ON/OFF button (5) once more to turn the camera off.
Note: The camera will auto power off after a period of inactivity to save battery power.
Press the ON/OFF button (5) to reactivate the camera. You can change the power-off time
by setting the function [Auto Off] in the 'Settings Menu (Capture Mode) > Setup' section
on page 26.
If the card is new or was previously formatted by another camera, format the card so that
the file format is compatible with your camera.
Caution: Formatting will delete all stored photos and videos even if they have been
protected. Download important files to your computer before formatting.
