Diagnostic Test 3 – Calibrate Diagnostic Test
This test uses one disc to calibrate the distance from the lift arm homing position
to the top of the lift column and then to the input bins.
1.
Be sure the autoloader is in diagnostic test mode. Follow the instructions in
the
Access Diagnostic Test Mode

Place one disc in input bin 1.
3.
Remove all discs from input bin 2 (5300 only).
Caution: Be sure there is only one disc in bin 1 and no discs in bin 2
(5300N only). If you attempt to perform this test with more than one disc
in the unit will cause miscalibration which can cause damage to the lift
arm and recorders.

Press the operator button three times and hold on the last press. The
operator panel displays [STARTING TEST RELEASE BUTTON].

Release the operator button. Input bin 2 opens (5300 only). The operator
panel displays [PLACE 1 DISC IN SUPPY BIN PRESS/RELEASE TO GO.
HOLD TO EXIT].
Press and release the operator button.

The following sequence occurs:

a.
The lift arm moves to the top of the column and then down to input bin 2
and checks it.
b.
The lift arm moves to input bin 1 and picks up a disc.
c.
The disc is released into input bin 2, picked up and released again.
d.
Input bin 2 closes.
e.
The lift arm moves to bin 1 to check for media.
f.
The lift arm moves to its home position.

a.
The lift arm moves to the top of the column and then down to input bin 1
and picks up a disc.
b.
The lift arm stops. The operator panel displays [PROGRAMMING
DONE].

The autoloader exits the test and diagnostic test mode.
