Summary of the various fault codes in combination with a LiOn-battery:
Display Meaning
E01
Cell voltage is below 3,2 V per cell when battery connected.
Indication disappears after 10 minutes operation.
E02
Cell voltage is below 2,9 V per cell when battery connected.
Indication disappears after 10 minutes operation.
E03
Reduced module power due to elevated temperature.
E04
Charging current is below 90% of the set value for the primary
charging phase. This measurement is made only during the first
5 minutes after contacting the battery
E05
Safety disconnect if programmed safety time is reached
E07
During the charging process, battery was disconnected without
prior switch-off via STOP button ore a mains voltage failure leads
to cut off.
E12
The memory for internal cycling statistics is full.
E30
Battery temperature exceeded.
F02
Charging current is 120% of rated value (see type plate).
F03
The "external temperature sensor" option is programmed but the
signal has not been transmitted to the charging electronics.
F07
Individual cell voltage exceeds 5 V per cell
F20
Communication between charging electronics and power modules
has been broken.
F21
Charger is not programmed.
F22
Communication between charging electronics and option board
board has been broken.
14
Cause / action for rectification
1. Check battery/charger assignment.
2. Charger not programmed for this battery.
Check power modules.
Check temperature sensor and its cable connection
through to the charger.
Check battery for individual cell voltage, temperature and
acid density.
Check battery, make cycle analysis of deep discharges.
Check power modules.
Check battery, connector and application.
Check programming and cable of the Battery Identification
Module (trak® com IP).
Check and reprogram charger voltage.
Incorrect or missing power module identification number.
Replace module if necessary.
Battery and charger parameters must be programmed.
Wrong or missed Identification from the board.
If necessary change board.
Cause / action for rectification
Battery very low discharged, check vehicle Battery
discharge indicator
Battery over discharged, check vehicle Battery discharge
indicator.
Clean charger! If the charger is used with a dust filter, this
must be cleaned or replaced. Dust filters are obtainable
for retrofitting.
1. No mains power, or phase missing.
2. Module defective.
3. Charger temperature too high or fan defective or filter
insert requires cleaning.
4. Poor electrical connection.
check battery
Incorrect use of the charger or faulty mains voltage.
Check mains voltage!
In order to restart the charger, the memory must be reset
Battery charging has been interrupted automatically since
the maximum permissible temperature was exceeded.
Thermal sensor or Hoppecke Bus must be connected.
Check power modules.
Check temperature sensor and its cable connection
through to the charger.
Check battery, connector and application.
Battery and charger parameters must be programmed.
