5.- Extra safety valve:
In the case when both the vent and the pressure indicating/safety valves are clogged (this is possible
when cooking food that tends to form, froth and sputter like pearls barley, oatmeal or other cereals and
beans) the extra safety valve would operate to release the pressure in the cooker.
When this occurs, always stop cooking, remove the clogged particles and reset the extra safety valve
before start cooking again.
1.- Open the box. Remove the packing material, protective cover of the unit and all parts. Do not dispose
of the packaging until correct operation is verified.
2.- Prior to the first use, carefully clean all parts that may come into contact with food.
3.- Prior to each use, make sure that the pressure valve (3), safety valve (4) and gasket (8) are clean
and working properly.
NOTE:
Do not operate the cooker if any of the components above do not work properly.
4.- Place the food to cook into the pot. Make sure there is enough space between the food to cook and
the lid (6). Keep the food level between the MAX and BEAN limits.
NOTE:
Do not exceed 2/3 of the capacity (marked "MAX") of the pot. For foods that may expand
in volume during cooking (for example, beans, rice or cereals), do not exceed 1/3 of the capacity
(marked "BEAN").
5.- Place the lid on the pot. Align the mark (triangle) on the lid with the mark on the handle of the pot.
Turn the lid clockwise to complete the closed position on the handles of the body.
