1.- Prior to the first use, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Rinse and dry.
2.- Thoroughly wash all parts after each use. Do not use rough scouring pads or abrasive cleaners as
they will produce fine scratches on the surface. For easier interior cleaning, after removing the food,
fill slightly with hot soapy water and wait for 10-15 minutes.
3.- Resistant food stains may be eliminated using commercial stainless-steel cleaning products, adding
2 cm of water and boiling for a few minutes.
4.- Heat may produce a change of colour, discolouration or rainbow effect on the stainless steel,
commonly called "Heat Tint" and may be eliminated using commercial stainless-steel cleaning
products, however overheating should be prevented. Heat Tint is not harmful for food.
5.- Do not leave acidic or salty tools inside the pot for long periods as they may cause spots, white
dots or even holes in the stainless steel.
6.- For each cleaning, remove the gasket from the lid and wash with hot water and rinse. Dry thoroughly
and replace on the lid.
7.- Over time, the gasket may contract, harden or deform with use. When this happens, the gasket
should be replaced.
8.- Make sure that the steam pin and filter are clean before and after each use; store them in a safe
place. A special cleaning needle is supplied with the pressure cooker to aid in the removal of
obstructions. If the steam pin cannot be cleaned with the needle, use a small tube or brush.
9.- The pressure valve should be washed in hot soapy water, rinse and dry after each use to ensure it is
free of obstructions.
10.- Do not store the pot with the lid on. Invert the lid on the pot and store in a dry place.
