RESIDUAL RISK

Even when the device is used properly and all safety
regulations are complied with, there still may be some
residual risks.
• Cutting injury
• Hearing damage
A longer stay in the immediate vicinity of the running
unit may cause hearing damage.Wear ear protectors.
• Damage to health arising from vibrations to hand
and arms if the device is used for a long time or if the
device is not guided and evaluated properly..
WARNING
Risk of poisoning!
Exhaust fumes, fuel and lubricants are toxic substances.
Breathing in exhaust fumes may be fatal!
Do not operate the unit in closed spaces where
dangerours carbon monoxide gases may accumulate.
MAINTENANCE
Only a regularly maintained and treated appliance can
serve as a satisfactory aid. Insuffi cient maintenance and
care can lead to unforeseen accidents and injuries.
Repairs and works specifi ed in these Instructions may
only be performed by qualifi ed authorised staff .
DANGER
Switch the engine off and remove the socket
plug before any work on the engine. Wait until
all rotating parts have stopped and the
appliance has cooled down.
Keep hands away from all cutting edges and
moving parts. Fingers can be pulled into cutting
carriage and be cut or crushed.
For safety reasons, only have the cutting blade
sharpened, balanced and mounted by a specialist
workshop.

WARNING

Danger of burns!

Some parts of the appliance get too hot when the
appliance is operated.
Contacting hot parts of the unit may cause burns.
Let the unit cool down after its operation is over.

Risk of explosion
Petrol and petrol vapours are highly fl ammable,
explosive.
Do not work with the unit in an environment with a risk
of explosion where there are fl ammable liquids, gases
or dust.
Refuel the engine only when switched off .
Do not store any fuel near the unit.
Never keep the unit with petrol in the tank inside a
building where petrol vapours could get in contact
with open fi re or sparks.
Keep the device, in particular the air vents, clean at all
times. Never spray water on the device body! Never
clean the machine and its components with solvents,
fl ammable or toxic liquids. Us only a damp cloth
making.
After every work stint, clean the machine thoroughly
to remove all dust and debris, and repair or replace any
faulty parts.
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the
equipment is in safe working condition;
The starter rope must be replaced as soon as it shows
signs of wear.
The carburettor has an optimised setting 'ex works' . If
any further adjustments should be required contact
your competent customer service.
Use only original accessories and original spare parts.
Using other spare parts can result in accidents/injuries
of the user. The manufacturer will not be liable for any
such damage.
