Chevrolet Nova 1985-1988

1. Remove the ashtray and (2) Phillips screws from the ashtray bracket itself.

2. Remove the (2) Phillips screws from above the factory radio opening and
remove the trim ring from around the radio. (Figure A)
3. Remove the Phillips screws holding the factory radio, remove the radio unit
itself and disconnect wiring from the rear of the unit.
4. Locate the Metra Bracket Set #1. Then, using wire cutters, cut and remove all
mounting tabs on the Bracket Set EXCEPT the tabs marked on the back with a
letter "B". (Figure B)
Continue to "Installation Instructions, ALL VEHICLES".

S15 Pickup/S15 Jimmy 1982-1985
1. Remove the (4) torx-head screws from the plastic trim panel around the factory
radio. (Figure A)
2. Remove the (1) torx-head screw from the lower right-hand corner of the
instrument cluster panel and remove the trim panel around the radio.
3. Remove the (2) Phillips screws holding the factory radio, remove the radio unit
itself and disconnect wiring from the rear of the unit.
4. Locate the Metra Bracket Set #5. Then, using wire cutters, cut and remove all
mounting tabs on the left and right bracket EXCEPT the tabs marked on the
back with a letter "B". (Figure B)
Continue to "Installation Instructions, ALL VEHICLES".
