1. Put the gearshift lever in the lowest gear (L1). Now remove the rubber trim
boot from the steering column. (Figure A)
2. Disconnect the ashtray/light wiring terminal and then remove the entire radio
trim panel. Set aside.
3. Remove the original brackets that mount the factory radio to the dash.
(Figure B)
Note: Keep the old brackets for mounting the new radio.

Oldsmobile Achieva 1992-1995

1. Remove the (4) Phillips screws from the plastic trim panel around the
factory radio. (Figure A)
2. Remove the (2) Phillips screws from the bottom edge of the trim panel and then
unsnap the A/C vents.
3. Disconnect the light switch from the radio trim panel, remove the panel
and set aside.
4. Remove the Phillips screws holding the factory radio, remove the radio unit
itself and disconnect wiring from the rear of the unit.
5. Remove the original brackets that mount the factory radio to the dash.

Note: Keep the old brackets for mounting the new radio.
