GENERAL NOTES
General notes
Before placing your device into opera-
tion, carefully read these instructions
and familiarise yourself with the device.
Keep these instructions in the vehicle
for subsequent questions.
If you still have questions concerning
the operation of the device or about
service, please contact the phone
hotline in your country (charges may be
incurred dependent upon the country).
You will find the telephone number
printed at the back of these operating
instructions.
Road safety
Road safety has absolute priority.
Only operate your device if the road
and traffic conditions allow you to do
so. Familiarise yourself with the de-
vice before setting off on your jour-
ney. You should always be able to
hear police, fire and ambulance si-
rens in good time from inside your
vehicle. For this reason, listen to your
car sound system at a suitable vol-
ume level during your journey.
The CVX 02 is a DVD device with addi-
tional operating buttons for radio and
display which can be operated only in
conjunction with the device CCU 02.
The use of a CVX 02 expands the op-
eration of the CCU 02.
Note:
The CVX 02 is not compatible with
the CCU 01.
Switching on/off
The CVX 02 device is switched on and
off together with the CCU 02.

Adjusting the volume
The volume control is performed via the
CCU 02 device.
Remote control
When you operate the CVX 02 for the
first time, you must insert the batteries
in the remote control.
Inserting the batteries
1. Open the battery compartment by
removing the cover.
2. Battery size: Two AAA batteries,
type LR03 Micro.
Before inserting the batteries,
ensure that the poles of the battery
are aligned as shown in the battery
compartment.
Insert the batteries.
3. Close the battery compartment.
Note:
Exhausted batteries do not belong
in household waste; they should be
disposed of according to local
regulations.
Activating the remote control
Point the remote control at the infrared
receiver 1 in the front of the device.
Operating angle: Approx. 30° in each
direction from the front side of the IR
receiver in the front of the device.
The supplied remote control allows
you to control all the functions of the
DVD/CD mode and the basic functions
of the other connected devices for the
cabin area.
