Using S.A.E.30, lightly oil the valve lever pivot
bolt (A Fig. 11) and the connecting link
(B Fig. 11).
5.
Remove the filler plug (A Fig. 12) and level
plug (A Fig. 13) from the pump gearbox and
check the oil level. If necessary, top up.

IMPORTANT: Do not lubricate the rear unit trailing
arm spherical bearing.
During Overhaul
When rebuilding a cutting unit after it has been
dismantled for overhaul:
1.
Clean the cutting unit gearboxes and repack
approximately ½ full with Shell Simnia 'O' or
Shell Retinax 'G' non tracking grease.
2.
Lubricate cutting cylinder adjusting screws and
clamp pivots with Molybdenum Disulphide
grease.
