- USING THE MOTORCOMPRESSOR

WARNING!
In the list in paragraph 3.8 there is the indication of the number of photo referring to the motorcompressor parts
quoted in the text.

4.1 Controls

Starter (5) (petrol/gasoline only): to be operated before starting the engine.
Engine pull-cord starter (9): pull it to start the engine.
Fuel cock (8) (petrol/gasoline only): open it before starting the engine, close it after stopping the engine.
ON/OFF switch (16): turn it to the ON position to start the engine; turn it to the OFF position to stop the engine
(petrol/gasoline only).
Engine accelerator lever (6) (diesel only): it is pre-set by the manufacturer.
Switch lever (44) (diesel only): it stops the engine.
Lever (4): is manually controlled by the operator for moving the motorcompressor forward.

4.2 Tools connections

Check that the couplings (23) and the connections are free from dirt.
Connect the tool hoses to the quick couplings (23).

4.3 Motorcompressor running-in procedures

WARNING!
When using the motorcompressor for the first time, please follow the instructions for an adequate running-in:
a)
Open the exhaust valve (35) of the air tank.
b)
Start the motorcompressor and make it idle for about 30 minutes.
c)
Close the exhaust valve (35) of the air tank.

4.4 Starting the motorcompressor

WARNING!
With the motorcompressor working, the machine should not travel distances up, down or across gradients higher
than 20%. Higher gradients may cause the engine and the motorcompressor to break.
When moving the motorcompressor, the operator shall hold it by the handle bars constantly.
Make sure all the safety covers on the moving parts are firmly secured in place.
The motorcompressor has no brakes. It must be placed in a safe and stable position.
Perform the following procedures in the order given:
a)
Fill the fuel tank (19) taking care to clean up any spilled fuel so as to prevent from spontaneous combustion.
b)
Empty the air tank and leave the valve (35) open.
c)
Open the fuel tank cock (8) (petrol/gasoline only).
d)
If the engine is cold, push the lever (5) to the left (petrol/gasoline only).
e)
Pull the cord starter (9).
f)
A few seconds after the engine has started up, push the lever (5) to the central position and then gradually to the right
(petrol/gasoline only).
g)
Close the exhaust valve (35) on the air tank.
When the compressor has filled the tank and the pilot valve / unloader (18) starts letting compressed air out, check that:
h)
The operating pressure indicated by the gauge (26) is as required.
i)
The oil used to lubricate the equipment flows regularly. Observe the lubricator (24).
