Replacing the fuse

PP402 PAD, PP404 PAD
Observe the following when using the device
If the battery voltage drops to below 10.5 V (PP402 PAD) or 21.5 V
(PP404 PAD) during operation, a warning signal sounds. If the battery volt-
age falls further, the inverter switches off and the red error LED (fig. 1 2,
page 3) lights up.
If the inverter overheats, it switches off – the error LED (fig. 1 2, page 3)
lights up red.
➤ If this happens, switch the inverter off with the switch.
When it cools down, you can use the inverter again.
If the temperature drops below 5 °C, the illuminated ring round the button on
the coffee machine flashes as a warning. Do not use the coffee machine at
this temperature. Empty the coffee machine completely, as follows:
➤ Empty the coffee machine as necessary.
➤ Put the cup in the coffee machine.
➤ Start brewing without water.
✓ In the process, the water which is still in the coffee machine is partially
removed as water vapour.
When operating the inverter at a high load for lengthy periods, it is advisable
to start the engine in order to recharge the vehicle battery.
You can operate the inverter with the engine running or switched off.
However, do not start the engine while the inverter is switched on, since the
power supply to the cigarette lighter is disconnected during ignition.
9 Replacing the fuse
This is how to change the fuse of the inverter:
➤ Disconnect the red cable (fig. 1 4, page 3) from the battery.
➤ Take the defective fuse (fig. 2 3, page 3) out of the holder on the back.
➤ Put in a new fuse of the same rating.
➤ Connect the red cable (fig. 1 4, page 3) to the battery.
