2.1.1
Results of the tests carried out according to Laws
WARNING!
The mechanical head can be operated only by means of a power unit produced by the Manufacturer.
WARNING!
The accomplishments concerning working environment safety and health regulations indicated by the current
laws (2003/10/EC Directive, 2002/44/EC Directive and 81/2008 Law Decree) have to be carried out either by the
employer or by the end-user: supplying the adequate individual protecting devices, informing about working risks,
performing sanitary survey, etc...
WARNING!
The results of the tests made according to the Laws are indicated inside the manual of the above-mentioned power
unit models.
The tests which have been carried out are the following:
1. SOUND LEVEL: Re: UNI EN 3746.
2. VIBRATIONS LEVEL: Re: EN ISO 5349.

Risks due to the operator's contact with noise and vibrations of the equipment and with the electro-magnetic fields.
2.1.2
General precautions
WARNING!
•
Use the tool only while standing on the ground in a safe and stable position.
•
Always use adequate clothing as called for by the job. Wear tight clothing. Do not wear ties, necklaces or belts
which may get caught in the moving parts. Use goggles, safety shoes and antivibration gloves (Picture F).
•
It is compulsory to use a noise-abatement headset.
•
Do not operate, service or repair the equipment, if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, which could
impair your alertness or co-ordination.
•
Only well trained and qualified personnel, who have read this use and maintenance manual carefully, are al-
lowed to use the tool.
•
Keep children and animals away from the tool.
•
Do not alter the safety and protective devices.
The operator is the only responsible for injuries caused to other people or for damages caused to their belong-
•
ings.
•
Do not use the tool when you are in an unstable position or off balance.
It is forbidden to operate the tool while standing on a ladder.
•
•
Keep the rakes and any other moving part away from your face.
•
Before any maintenance operations are carried out, select the OFF mode in the ON-OFF switch. Disconnect the
power supply cable from the battery.
•
Before any routine maintenance operation, read this Use and Maintenance Manual carefully. For any other
maintenance operation, which is not described in this manual, take the tool to an Authorised Service Point of
the Manufacturer.
•
The tool shall be used for the purposes described in par. 'Product Description' only. Other uses could cause
injuries and/or damages.
2.2
Use
•
Always wear goggles or a visor, safety shoes and antivibration gloves and a noise-abatement headset.
•
The working position must be stable and safe.
•
The tool shall be used only for the purposes described in par. 'Product Description'. Other uses could cause injuries
and/or damages.
•
Do not leave the tool in the rain. Keep it in a dry place.
•
Do not carry the tool by the power supply cable.
