Troubleshooting

In case of any trouble with this unit, please take the time to look
through this chart and see if you can solve the problem yourself
before you call your dealer or a TEAC service center.
The power does not turn on
e Check that the AC power cord is connected securely.
There is no sound
e Check the connections between the D/A converter and the
amplifier.
e Check the settings of the D/A converter and the amplifier.
e Switch ON the terminal connecting the D/A converter.
The remote control unit does not function
e Switch ON the power supply of the player.
e Check the batteries. If they are dead, change both of them to
the new ones.
e If there are obstructions between the player and the remote
control unit, you cannot use the remote control unit. Make
sure you have a clear line of sight within seven meters of the
player, and the remote control unit is pointing at the player.
Even though you load a disc, you cannot play back the disc
e If the anti-vibration clamp is locked, playback is not
possible. After removing any disc and switching off the
power, remove the anti-vibration clamp.
e Make sure the disc is right way up (label up).
e If the disc is dirty, clean it.
e CD-RW discs cannot be played back on this player.
e Depending on the disc, etc. it may not be possible to play
back CD-R discs. Try again with another disc.
e You cannot play back unfinalized CD-R discs. Finalize such a
disc in a CD recorder and try again.
You cannot use programmed playback
e When the power is turned off or the disc tray is opened and
closed, programming is erased. If this has happened by
accident, re-program the playback.
You can play back one track only
e When "SINGLE" is lit, cancel single playback mode by
pressing SINGLE of the remote control unit.
If the sound skips
e When the player is subject to vibration, the sound will skip.
Resite the player in a stable location.
e If the disc is dirty, clean it.
If normal operation cannot be recovered, unplug the power cord
from the outlet and plug it in again. This resets the internal
micro-computer which can be disturbed during electrical
storms, power interruptions, et cetera.
