Emergency lowering
In the event of power failure, the raised lifting platform
can be lowered manually to the basic position.

Emergency lowering is only to be performed by
specially trained personnel. The operation must be
supervised by a second person.
Preparation
1. Clear the hazard zone under and next to the lifting
platform.
2. Secure the vehicle with four chocks to stop it rolling.
Releasing
3. Control column: Use a suitable lifting device (e.g. a
jack) to raise the runway by a few millimetres so that
the detent pins are no longer resting firmly on the
snap latches.
4. A release pin for the detent pin is located on the
underside of the cross member. See Fig. 12. Move
the release pin to the released position and fix in
this position (e.g. with a cord).

5. Remove the lifting device again.
6. Repeat the steps described above to release the
detent pins at all lifting columns.

7. Remove the cover at the hydraulic unit.
8. Detach the plastic cap from the lowering valve.

9. Make sure there are neither persons nor objects in
the hazard zone.
10. Carefully open the emergency lowering screw (1).
Lowering commences.

Observe all four lifting columns during lowering.
In the event of inclination to one side, immediately
close the emergency lowering screw to halt the
lowering process.
11. Slowly lower the runway to the basic position.
Concluding operations
12. Remove the chocks from the vehicle.
13. Drive the vehicle off the runway in a straight line.
14. Remove the cords from the release pins and set all
the release pins to the locked position.
15. Close the emergency lowering screw (1) at the
lowering valve and attach the plastic cap.
16. Attach the cover to the hydraulic unit.
