1 – Description of Cabinet
Cub@ 2 is a system consisting of an "interface" column, which represents the system CPU, and by a set of
interconnected lockers (maximum 15) as shown in FIG.16.
The lockers are available in the versions "dry" (non-refrigerated), "refrigerated" NT (normal temperature) and
"refrigerated" LT (low temperature).
All refrigerated units use a ventilated refrigeration system with forced air with compressor unit incorporated or external.
General visual characteristics and overall dimensions are clearly illustrated in the FIG. 1 and in TAB. 1.
2 - Handling the unit
The unit comes on wooden runners (wooden crating available on request) to facilitate handling by forklift. Only authorised
expert personnel should handle the unit. FIG. 2 shows the weight of the units and fork lengths of the relative lifting points.
3 - Receipt and storage
On delivery, make sure the unit has not been damaged during transport. Check the condition of the packaging: if the
packaging is damaged, check the contents in the presence of the carrier. For storage, make sure that the unit is protected
against the weather and stored at a temperature between -25°C and +55°C; 30-95% relative humidity. Take special care
when unpacking the unit, as the packaging contains various parts and/or accessories needed to complete the display unit
(spacers, etc). Remove the brackets and pallet (see FIG. 3), then remove the transparent protection around the unit.
Place the display unit exactly where you plan to install it. Move the unit properly: never drag by its sides!
Warning: Inform the Manufacturer immediately if the unit arrives damaged. Any delay in doing so relieves the
Manufacturer of all liability. The Manufacturer is not liable for any damage to the unit during handling and storage.
4 - Installation and environmental conditions
The unit should be placed on a perfectly flat floor. When fully loaded, the display cabinet should not vibrate (see FIG. 4).
The efficiency of the unit may be endangered if it is not perfectly level! The display cabinet should never be placed in
areas where explosive gas substances are used.
If used outdoor it is indispensable to the install a roof or other structure for the protection of the furniture from atmospheric
agents (rain/snow).
The performance of the cabinet refers (according to the international standard EN ISO 23953-1/2) to environmental
climatic class S which consists of a room temperature of -10°C/+30°C.
Respect the minimum distance between the rear of the furniture and the wall behind (FIG. 9-10) and between the upper
part of the furniture and the ceiling (FIG. 10). Do not obstruct the protective grids of the capacitor (FIG. 6), the presence of
objects in front of or above the protective grids of the capacitor could affect the correct operation of the refrigerated
container.
If the environmental conditions are different from those indicated (-10°C/+30°C) the user must accept different
performances from those reported in TAB. 1.
5 - Electrical connections
Important: installation should be made following the manufacturer's instructions, by qualified personnel only, in conformity
with the electric safety regulations in force.
For the connection, refer to the wiring diagram shown in FIG. 16.
At the input of the supply it is necessary to install an omni-polar magnetothermic/differential device with contact opening
equal to 3 mm and adequate cutoff power.
Warning: Before connecting the unit to the mains, make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to that indicated on the
serial plate (bearing in mind that the max acceptable variations in voltage are +/- 10%). Check that the cable used has the
proper cross-section and length to withstand the current and the power absorbed by the combination, as indicated in FIG.
5.
Before carrying out the electric connection of the lockers make sure that the switch present in the interface column is
disabled (OFF) and proceed with the connection of the power supply cables of the individual lockers to the terminal box
present in the interface column, trying to balance as much as possible the loads on the 3 phases (FIG.16).
Once all the connections described above have been carried out, enable the switch in the interface column and make
sure that the switch on the electrical panel of each locker is in the ON position.
The main power cable supplying the interface column must be adequately sized according to the total load. The sizing
and the connection must be performed by qualified technical personnel and is the responsibility of the customer.
Warning: Follow the Manufacturer's instructions to install the unit, using qualified personnel and complying with the
electrical regulations for the specific country (electrical safety standards and laws, accident and fire prevention laws, EC
directives). Incorrect installation may cause injury and damage; the Manufacturer is not liable for this.
The unit must be earthed. The Manufacturer is not liable for any damage or injury should this safety regulation be
ignored. The use of adapter plugs is strictly prohibited. The Manufacturer is not liable for any damage or injury
arising from incorrect installation.
Warning: each locker is factory preconfigured. In case you want to add, remove or review the layout of the lockers
contact the manufacturer.
