4. VOLTAGE DETECTION

Always perform an autotest before using your detector.
Never use the detector if the autotest is incorrect.
Connect the black touch-prod lead to the "COM" terminal.
Press the trigger to extend the black touch prod.
Press the trigger 4 to extend the instrument's red touch
prod.
Place the two touch prods on the circuit to be tested.
If the "
" LED lights up, stop all detection (see 3.2).
If a voltage is present on the circuit, the voltage detection
LEDs will light up automatically and the buzzer will sound:
- intermittent buzz: 50 V < V < 230 V
- continuous buzz: V > 400 V
The rated voltage level of the circuit is indicated by the
last LED to light up (50 V, 127 V, 230 V or 400 V).
If none of these LEDs lights up, there is no voltage present
or a voltage < 50 V.
NB: The "
" LED may also light up (see 3.2).
NB2: The voltage detection function operates constantly. It
remains active when the detector's other functions are used.
Specifications and field of use
Voltage detection: 50 V < V < 400 V
Frequency: DC, 16... 500 Hz
Impedance: Z > 20 kΩ
Max. peak current at 400 V: I
response time: < 110 ms

5. PHASE/NEUTRAL IDENTIFICATION

Always perform an autotest before using your detector.
Never use the detector if the autotest is incorrect.
Connect the yellow lead with the crocodile clamp to the
earth of the terminal of the instrument.
Connect the crocodile clamp to the earth of the circuit.
Press the trigger 4 to extend the instrument's red touch
prod.
Place the red touch prod on the conductor to be tested.
In the presence of the phase (if V > 50V~), the red "PH"
LED lights up and the buzzer sounds repeatedly.
NB1: Phase detection is also possible by placing a finger on
the contact electrode 11 (in place of the yellow lead,
the human body then serves as the link with the earth).
NB2: The voltage detection function remains active during
this test.
Specifications and field of use:
Voltage detection: 50 V < V < 400 V
Frequency: 16... 500 Hz
= 27 mA.
