The tool and its air vents have to be kept clean.
Regularly clean the tool's air vents or whenever the
vents start to become obstructed.
► 1. Dust cover
Remove the dust cover from inhalation vent and clean it
for smooth air circulation.
NOTE:
• Clean out the dust cover when it is clogged with
dust or foreign matters. Continuing operation
with a clogged dust cover may damage the tool.
To maintain product SAFETY and RELIABILITY,
repairs, any other maintenance or adjustment should
be performed by Makita Authorized or Factory Service
Centers, always using Makita replacement parts.

depressed center grinding wheel, multi-disc, flex
wheel and wire wheel brush. A diamond wheel
and cut-off wheel are also available and should

Makita grinder with approved accessories which
you purchase from your Makita distributor or
factory service center, be sure to obtain and use
all necessary fasteners and guards as recom-
mended in this manual. Your failure to do so
could result in personal injury to you and others.
