4.13.8 WHIPPING EFFECT

Always use integral hoses only, which shall be periodically checked.

4.13.9 STUMBLING

Any untidy deposit of material can cause stumbling and be a partial or total obstacle to the escape routes in case
of emergency.
Ensure that the work place, transit areas and escape routes are free from obstacles and in compliance
with the regulations in force.

4.13.10 CIRCUIT DEFECTS

In case of defects, the circuits and/or the control, safety and power-supply devices can have a less than adequate
performance with consequent lower safety level.
Perform periodical checks of the functionality of the machine devices and components and of all the
connections.

4.13.11 BURNS

Due to the engine and pump high temperature there is a potential burn risk in case of contact.
The same risk is connected to other components, too, such as exhaust pipes, silencer, etc..
Inform the personnel in charge about the risks linked to the activities of maintenance or contact with
engine, pump and exhaust pipes.
Access these areas with utmost care after their cooling down and wear adequate protective gloves.

4.13.12 LIGHTNINGS

Since the installation is outdoor and the machine is not
use the adequate protective equipment against the lightning effects, in order to discharge possible lightning
strikes to the ground.
Inform the personnel in charge of the maintenance activities and check if they are well trained for the
activities they shall perform and informed about the residual risks connected to them.
It is strictly forbidden to perform any activities with the machine in case of bad weather (storm or
lightning risks).
Always wear adequate clothes for the task to perform.

4.13.13 NOISE

It is compulsory that the personnel using or carrying out the maintenance of the machine wear adequate acoustic
protection devices.

4.13.14 VIBRATIONS

While working in normal conditions, the machine does not transmit dangerous vibrations to the operator.
Excessive or abnormal vibrations can be due to a bad functioning of the devices rotating components, such as
pumps, engines, etc..
In these conditions the maintenance personnel have to be immediately informed and the machine has to be
stopped for check or repair.
