Bit Fitting
• Introduce the bit into the chuck until it stops. Fasten
with the chuck wrench and tighten alternately the
chuck into each of the orifices.
WARNING
Clean burrs and any other foreign
objects from the drill bit and drill bit, otherwise the drill
bit may not be tight and cause serious personal injury.
Turn on and operation control
• Intermittent operation:
Connect the plug into the power inlet.
Press the switch (A) to start the drill.
To stop, just release the switch.
• Continuous Operation:
Connect the plug into the power inlet.
Press the switch (A) and block it pressing the continuous use button (B).
To stop, press and then, release the switch.
Speed Control
• The tool can run in different speeds. Select by adjusting
speed control (C) in the switch.
• Turn speed control clockwise to increase the drill speed and
torque.
• Turn counterclockwise to lessen speed and torque.
Rotation Direction
• The rotation direction button is placed on both sides of
the drill (D).
• To make the bit rotate forwards for drilling, move the
rotation selector lever towards the letter "R".
• To make it rotate in reverse, move the rotation selector
lever towards the letter "L".
• Reverse rotation allows to loosen screws and nuts
turning the drill into a screwdriver. When using the drill in
the screwdriver function do not exercise excessive force
onto the switch.
• Rotation direction changes can only be carried out when
the switch is not pressed.
Drilling on Wood
• Always hold the work piece onto a stable base. You shall
never hold the work piece with one hand or on top of your
leg.
• Apply pressure aligned with the bit. Applying pressure in
an angle can bend or break the bit.
• To prevent chipping thin materials set a piece of
discarded wood underneath.
• Helicoidal bits can be used to drill wood but they
overheat if the chips are nor removed periodically from the
orifices.
• To prevent chips, when finishing orifices that go from side
to side stop the drill before the orifice is opened. Finish the
orifice in the reverse side.

Drilling on Metal
• To gain maximum performance use high speed steel bits
to drill on metal or steel.
• Start drilling with very low speed to prevent the bit from
sliding off the starting point.
• Keep speed and pressure which allows cutting without
heating the bit.
Applying too much pressure may overheat the bit, wear
out the gears, bend or burn the bits and/or make off-center
orifices or with an irregular shape.
• When drilling large orifices in metal start with a small bit
and then, finish with a bigger bit.
• Lubricate the bit with oil to improve the drilling action
and to increase the useful life of the bit.
