Notes:
highlighted codes are only available for 80AW2 modules
for 80AW2 modules, if code 63 is set to NO TERMINAL, it is not possible to set code 0 to ON; additionally code 64 is
automatically set to NO TERMINAL and is not displayed

Heating mode

Heating mode is selected setting code 0 to ON and code 1
to HEATING .
The water temperature for heating is determined according
to the outside air temperature, through a climatic curve that
the installer is free to set.
The room temperature setpoint is set by the user.
If the CDU is unable to meet the heating duty (e.g. at very
low temperatures in winter) the auxiliary heaters can be
activated, depending on the control settings.
If the CDU is in fault mode, only the auxiliary heaters
operate to reach the desired temperature (if code 13 in the
user interface is set to "yes").
Depending on the settings of code 2 and code 3, the system
operates in comfort mode, ECO mode or anti freeze mode.

Comfort mode

Room setpoint is set by the user through code 7 for zone 1
and code 10 for zone 2.
The control calculates the water setpoint for the available
zones, depending on the outdoor temperature and the
settings of the climatic curves (codes 20, 21, 22, 24 for zone
1, codes 20, 21, 23, 25 for zone 2).

Description
The water setpoint calculated this way, is then corrected by
+/- 2 °C for every 1°C diff erence between the actual room
temperature and the room temperature setpoint of the
corresponding zone. Maximum correction is +/- 4°C.
The climatic curve is set by the installer; the user can modify
the value of code 24, setting code 9 and the value of code
25 setting code 12. Maximum correction for both is +/- 5°C.
For 80AW2 modules, water setpoint for zone 1 and 2 is
shown in codes 45 and 46, while main water setpoint, which
is connected to the maximum between codes 45 and 46, is
shown in code 44.
For 80AW1 modules, the water setpoint is shown in code 44.
The CDU operates in order to reach the main water setpoint.
The eventual 3 way valve (80AW2 modules) in the zone kit
mixes the outlet of the water tank with the return fl ow from
the circuit, in order to fi ne tune the water temperature in
the zone.
If the water temperature is below the setpoint reduced by
the supplementary heat hysteresys (code 29), the CDU runs
in booster heating mode to deliver its maximal heating
capacity.
For modules with auxiliary heaters
If, after a period of time controlled by code 30, the water
temperature is still below the set point reduced by the
supplementary heat hysteresys, auxiliary heater is activated,
provided that the outside temperature is below the
temperature authorizing supplementary heating (code 28)
and the maximum number of heaters allowed to operate
(code 31) is not set to 0AP.
If, after a period of time controlled by code 30, the
conditions for turning on the auxiliary heaters are still valid,
zone 2
the second stage of electric heater, if present, is activated,
code 20
provided that code 31 is set to 2AP. The auxiliary heaters are
turned off once the main water setpoint is reached.
code 21
In the event of a CDU fault, auxiliary heating is authorized
code 23
regardless the outside temperature, if code 13 is set to yes.

In case of overheating, a limit thermostat trips the electrical
heater and a message is displayed on the user interface.
The thermostat is set to 60°C.
