Product description
▪ Fluids with large amounts of abrasive contents (e.g. sand, grit)
Intended use also includes compliance with these instructions. Any other use is regarded as
improper use.

Centrifugal hydraulics with upstream macerator. The macerator breaks up the cuttable ad-
mixture for transport in a pressure pipe (1¼" or larger). The pressure side connection is de-
signed as a horizontal flange connection.
The hydraulics are not self-priming, in other words, the fluid must flow in either automati-
cally or with supply pressure.
Single or three phase AC surface-cooled motors are used as a drive. The motor is cooled by
the fluid around it. The waste heat is transferred directly to the fluid via the motor housing.
The motor can emerge during operation. The connection cable has bare cable ends.
The seal for the fluid and the motor compartment is made via two mechanical seals. The
sealing chamber between the mechanical seals is filled with medicinal white oil.
▪ Pump housing: EN-GJL-250 (ASTM A48 Class 35/40B)
▪ Impeller: EN-GJL-250 (ASTM A48 Class 35/40B)
▪ Macerator: 1.4528 (AISI 440B+Co)
▪ Motor housing: Stainless steel AISI 1.4301 (304)
▪ Shaft: 1.4401 (AISI 316)
▪ Seal, on the motor side: C/MgSiO
▪ Seal, on the fluid side: SiC/SiC
▪ Seal, static: NBR (Nitrile)
Monitoring the motor winding
The thermal motor monitor protects the motor winding from overheating. A temperature
limit with bimetallic strip is built-in as standard.
For AC motors the thermal motor monitoring is auto-switching. This means that the motor
is switched off when it overheats and is automatically switched back on after it cools down.
For three-phase motors the thermal motor monitoring must be connected into the
switchgear or plug.
