6 Description and function
6.1 General description
The pressure-boosting system is a compact unit
supplied with complete pipework ready for con-
nection. Only the suction and discharge pipes still
have to be connected, in addition to connecting
the system to the power supply.

Any ordered accessories are delivered separately.
When making the connection to the municipal
water mains, regulations and currently valid
standards must be observed and, as necessary,
fulfilled pursuant to the regulations from water
distribution companies. In addition, local specifi-
cities must be taken into account: for example,
if the suction pressure is too high or too variable,
a pressure reducer must be fitted.

6.2.2 Switchgear
• Ensures the full automation of the pressure-
boosting system.
• IP54 protection.
• Thermal motor protection factory-set to the
rated current on the motor plates.
• Exterior switch amplifier for safety and for
activating the module.

• Position no. 1: Live indicator light - Indicates the
presence of mains voltage
(unbreaking yellow LED)
• Position no. 2: Operation indicator light for each
pump - Indicates that the pump is
in operation (unbreaking green
LED)
• Position no. 3: Malfunction indicator light for
each pump - Indicates that the
pump is malfunctioning (unbreak-
ing red LED) triggering thermal
motor protection (motor overload)
• Position no. 4: Change-over switch for each
pump with 3 functions:
AUTO – 0 – MANU
• Position no. 5: Low water indicator - Indicates
low water (unbreaking red LED)
