3.8 Measurements

The analogy of a clock face is used to describe the different measurement positions.
The first position for measurement is the 9 o'clock position, when looking from behind the
moveable machine.
Measurements are to be taken successively in three different positions (9-12-3).
Note:
Do not move or touch the measuring unit or the reference bar bracket or their rods and
do not slide the bar on its bracket during the measurement.
Do not use the measuring equipment as a handle to turn the shafts.
