Switching On

A factory-new battery is not fully
charged.
Recommendation: Fully charge the
battery before using it for the first time.
Opening the Battery Compartment
Cover

Lift the cover (1) up and swing it

forward.
Inserting the Fuse Key
The motor can be started only when the
fuse key is inserted.

Push the fuse key (2) and push it

into the socket (3) until it snaps into
position.

Inserting the Battery

Insert the battery (4) in the battery

compartment and push it until it
engages in position.
Closing the Battery Compartment Cover
Close the cover (1).

The battery compartment cover must
always be closed during operation.
Starting

Do not start the motor in high grass or in
the lowest setting since this makes
starting more difficult.

Press in the switch lever lockout (5)
with your right hand and hold it
there.
Pull the switch lever (6) towards the
handle with your left hand and hold
it until you hear an audible click.
Release the switch lever
lockout (5).
