turning the work spindle by hand. For drill drives with additional electronic speed control, the speed and
torque power can be infinitely varied at the corresponding controller on the drill drive. For drill drives with
electrical speed adjustment, the setting is made using the corresponding setting wheel on the control
panel on the drill stand. For drilling drives with clockwise/anticlockwise rotation change, the switch is
made with the black switch on the control panel on the drill stand. In position "R" the drill drive rotates
clockwise,
in position "L" counter-clockwise. Caution! The direction of rotation may only be changed with the drill
drive switched off. The drill drive is now switched on at the combination switch - green - ON, illuminat-
ed. Note: The drill drive can now be started when the electromagnet is switched on. The drill feed is now
carried out manually via the handle bars. To avoid overloading the magnetic drilling unit or premature tool
wear, the drilling pressure must be adjusted. After each drilling operation the chips and / or the drill core
must be removed. The cooling and lubrication of the drilling process must be metered to the tool used.
Ensure that no more than the required coolant / lubricant quantity is used and that it does not get into
the magnetic drilling unit. Magnetic drilling units must be stored in a horizontal position after completion
of work so that the gear grease is distributed evenly again.
Switching the drilling machine on and off
The control panel of your magnetic drilling machine
is designed for optimum operation and safety.
1 – The ON switch (GREEN):
This (right) switch is used to switch the motor unit ON ("l").
2 – The OFF switch (RED):
This (left) switch is used to switch the motor unit OFF ("O").
3 – The magnetic switch (RED):
This switch is used to control the main current
supply and to switch the magnet ON and OFF.
Activate magnet
Place the drilling machine on the base.
Press the RED switch ("-") to activate the magnet.
Switching the motor on and off
The motor unit can only be switched on when the magnet is activated. To switch the motor
ON press the GREEN button ("l"). To switch the motor OFF press the RED button ("O").
Maintenance and care
Caution! First remove the mains plug from the socket. The magnetic drill stand must be kept clean and
should be cleaned regularly. To avoid accidents, the drill stand, connection cables, protective conduc-
tor connections, plugs and sockets, switches and automatic start lock must be checked regularly for
damage. Note: Also observe the maintenance and care instructions for the attached electric tools.
