h STEAM IRONING
22 If you intend to use steam, the temperature setting must be S or higher.
23 Set the steam control to the setting you want (S = no steam, # = high).

37 Check that there is adequate ventilation behind the fabric, otherwise moisture may build up,
causing mildew.
38 Check that there is nothing behind the fabric that may be damaged by the steam.
39 Check that pockets, turn-ups, and cuffs are empty.
40 Set the temperature control to max. Set the steam control to S.
41 Lift the iron off the fabric.
42 Press the ~ button.
43 You may have to press it 2 or 3 times to pump water through the system.
44 Leave 4 seconds between shots, to let the steam build up.
C AFTER USE
45 Set the temperature control to •. Set the steam control to S.
46 Unplug the appliance.
47 Open the cover.
48 Hold it over a sink, turn it upside down, and drain the water from the reservoir, via the water
inlet.
49 Close the cover.
50 Sit the iron on its heel.
51 Leave it to cool down completely.
52 Wipe up any spillage.
53 Clean the outside surfaces of the appliance with a damp cloth.
54 Remove spots from the soleplate with a little vinegar.
55 Store the iron on its heel, to avoid corrosion and damage to the soleplate.
